EMPLOYER SERVICES

The South Central Workforce Development Board (SCWDB) has three Career Works Centers, along with a regional Business Service Coordinator, to serve employers in our region. The SCWDB coordinates workforce training and career services through federal funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).  Services available to all Employers include:

  • Interview space as requested
  • Computer lab with Internet access for business use
  • Facsimile and copying services
  • Workspace
  • Phone access for details on job listing
  • Video conferencing availability
  • Job fair assistance
  • Assistance in writing job descriptions
  • Post job openings on VA Workforce Connection website and in Career Works Centers
  • Help post jobs in person, by phone, or in the Centers
  • Facilitate the application process based on need
  • Prescreening & referral of qualified applicants
  • Handle call-in letters on site in coordination with VEC
  • Refer participants to job openings
  • Job coaching for individuals with disabilities
  • Basic skills training
  • Advanced skills training
